This could be cloves, Kong or gun oil and many more.

WHAT ARE THE TYPE OF SEARCHES YOU DO WITH SCENT WORK?
CONTAINER
Box, pipes, jars, etc.
The dog searches these containers.
The difficultly can be increase with, more Items and even the way they are laid out, and additional distractions. scents can be added
interior
The hide is secured inside, underneath, between or on top of objects inside a building.
For example, the dog may search a kitchen where the hide is placed on cupboard door.
EXTERIOR
The hide is secured outside. Surfaces may include grass, gravel, leaves, walls, trees etc.
The wind places a massive part to exterior searches.
Vehicle
The hide is secured on the outside of a vehicle, for example, on the front bumper.
More advanced searches include more vehicles, and different types
People
The hide is located on a person inside a pocket, coat, shoes etc.
